HCPT

The HCPT Group
The structure of the typical ‘family group’ is fundamental to the work of The Trust.
To be a candidate for the position of Group Leader a person must be an experienced HCPT helper who has the approval of the Region concerned. The appointment must be confirmed by the Executive Committee of HCPT Trustees.

The Region
The decision to form a Region is made by the Trustees. Regions cover the work of all HCPT Groups - Easter, Jet Set, Hosanna House and Central Services Groups.
Whereas it is the responsibility of the Group Leaders to ensure that helpers receive adequate preparation to undertake the pilgrimage, such preparation is also organised on a regional basis. The Region will also co-ordinate fund-raising, channel sponsorship money to the Trust HQ and assist Group Leaders in allocating helpers and children for the Easter Pilgrimage. The usual officers of the Region are Chair, Secretary and Treasurer with further officers and subcommittees formed at the discretion of the Region. Typically these will be:
A fund raising committee.
A committee to consider all applications from children
(A doctor is part of this committee).
Membership of a Regional Committee is not restricted to Group Leaders or helpers.

Mission Statement
HCPT is a charitable organisation, founded in response to Our Lady's invitation to go on Pilgrimage to Lourdes. Our aim is to enable those who may need help, especially the young, to experience pilgrimage, and we do this in small caring groups, seeking to share with joy, the gift of God's love.
